High on the Singapore Flyer

Billed as the Largest Giant Observation Wheel in the World, the Singapore Flyer is one of those things you just do when you’re in Singapore. So I did.

Stellar views. Going up around sunset on one of those days where it wasn’t raining would be amazing.

This fantastic structure below is the inside of the shopping mall for the Marina Bay Sands Hotel.

This is the Marina Bay Sands. It’s pretty much the defining highlight of Singapore these days.

Love the signs here.

The Chinese guys in the park playing a form of checkers that I’ve never seen.

This was funny. These guys each asked to be photographed next to me individually. I guess being next to a white guy with long hair was a big deal to the folks back home in Indonesia so I obliged them. Then I told them it was time for their photo. They laughed and went along.

Then the afternoon rains started dumping so I sat down for a beer or three.
