Glamis: Sand and Chrome

Out in the desert near the California and Arizona border lies a 75 mile swath of sand dunes. They’re a mecca for off-road riders with their bikes, dune buggies and ATV’s.

I’d never been out there so I decided to drive the three hours from San Diego to do some photographic exploring. Most of my photos were shot with my non-iPhone camera so if you want to see what I was really up to, check out my Glamis: Portraits in the Sand blog post.

This fencing blocks off an old Indian foot trail that was used before the area was settled by Europeans. You can actually see where people walked hundreds of years ago. Kind of cool but at the same time odd that anyone would notice.
