Everything here was shot with the ShakeItPhoto app. This was the first time I got to use the app and there was some adjustment. One “advantage” of the ShakeIt is that you can choose to apply the effect to images after they’ve been shot. Whereas the Hipstamatic does the processing upon taking the shot, with the ShakeIt, you can either chose to apply it right away or wait until later.
Overall, I like the ShakeIt’s color. It pushes the saturation but doesn’t add a strong color cast or texture – unlike the Hipstamatic. It also processes much faster. For this series, I chose to have the effect applied after every shot. It’s a bit slower that way, but I like the process more.
